As seen in the video, there are two different types of ultraviolet rays that are emitted by the sun: ultraviolet-A and ultraviolet-B, or UVA and UVB. UVB rays cause sunburns on the skin. UVA rays cause skin cancer and premature aging of the skin. Regular window glass is rated against UVB rays, but it cannot prevent the intrusion of UVA rays. However, solar window films that have been rated for UVA radiation can prevent up to 99.9% of these harmful rays from coming through window glass.
