Progress Energy / Duke Energy Residential Window Film Rebate
You can obtain a Progress Energy window film rebate by completing a Home
Energy Check prior to the installation of your window film. Installation
must be according to Progress Energy standards, and will require a contractor
to verify the requirements are met.
Your window film must meet the following requirements:
- The residence must have whole-house electric air conditioning.
- The film should have a shading coefficient no more than 0.45, or a solar
heat gain coefficient that is no more than 0.40.
- The window film and/or screen must be installed on all windows you have
that are facing east, west, and south.
Please not that requirements may not apply to decorative glass, but it
is best to check with our specialists to determine if you are eligible.
If these requirements are met, Progress Energy may give you a rebate of
50% of the cost of the installation, with $100 maximum. To learn more
about these rebates, or other potential forms of savings, please
